The Birla Institute of Technology is a university in Ranchi, India.

History

The BIT was founded by the philanthropist and industrialist BM Birla in 1955 as a training institute for technical professions. It is designed as a campus university. Today it is one of the most recognized technical training institutions in India. The BIT Mesra is performed in the ratings by magazines such as India Today, Outlook (magazine), etc. in the top ten of all Indian engineering colleges.

Student

In 2007 study at BIT and its three subsidiary institutions more than 10,000 students. The Alumni Club are currently about 6,000 Former entered. Tuition fees are Rs 32,500 for undergraduate programs and Rs 33,000 for the architecture degree program.

Overseas branch

The BIT has set up three branches. The first was founded in 2000 together with the Md. Jalal & Sons Group in Bahrain. This institution is under the auspices of the "Ministry of Education & the Ministry of Labour " government of Bahrain. Are offered graduate and undergraduate courses for computer science, electrical and communications engineering and production technology. In addition, recent programs for software development and business management have been established.

The second device was developed in 2001 in Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman. The Waljat Colleges of Applied Sciences denies his teaching in cooperation with the BIT.

Recently, the third branch was established in the United Arab Emirates. The local Birla Institute of Technology International Center ( BITIC ) took his teaching in the academic year 2005/2006 at the Royal College of Applied Science & Technology in Ra's al -Khaimah, United Arab Emirates on.

All three facilities are operated under the academic supervision of the BIT.
