Birmingham Open
The ATP tournament from Birmingham ( Birmingham officially open ) is a former men's tennis tournament which took place once in Birmingham in the UK in 1991. Played indoors on carpet surfaces. The tournament was scheduled in November, thus one of the last tournaments on tour calendar.
The tournament was presented in the ATP World Series, the predecessor series on the ATP World Tour 250 Although this was the lowest category on the ATP Tour, the tournament could muster with a relatively high $ 450,000 in prize money.
In Birmingham, another international tennis tournament takes place, the AEGON Classic. It is part of the WTA Tour and is played on grass.
