Birofeld

Birofeld (Russian Бирофельд ) is a village ( selo ) in the Jewish Autonomous Oblast with 1005 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ) ..

It belongs to Rajon Birobidzhan, located about 40 km southwest of Birobidzhan and 180 kilometers west of the city of Khabarovsk. The town was built in 1950 at a Soviet military airfield.
