Biróg

Birog, also Biróg, is the name of a legendary figure from Celtic mythology of Ireland, which is called in popular stories.

Birog is a Druid or Side. In Lebor Gabála Érenn ( "The Book of acquisitions of land in Ireland " ) and Cath Maige Tuired ( " The [second ] Battle of Mag Tuired " ) reports that it saves the son of Cian before the drowning, which it intends to respond to his grandfather Balor. Balor received a prophecy that his grandson would kill him one day, so he keeps his daughter locked up Ethniu hidden. But Cian discovers in search of his lost cow with Birogs in her tower and shows a child with her. This will let drown Balor, but it is saved by Birog. It is named Lugh and kill the time being the murderer of his father Cian, Brian, Iuchar and Iucharba, then in the Battle of Mag Tuired his grandfather Balor.

In another version of the Mac lovers Ethnius Cinnfhaelaidh and Ethniu ie gives birth to triplets. Two of them, the officer Balor drown in a whirlpool, the third slips his hands and is rescued by Birog. The child has no specific name here.
