Bisamberg is an Austrian market town with 4492 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Lower Austria, at the foot of the 359 meter high Bisamberg.

Geography

The community is located about 5 kilometers north-east of Vienna in the wine district in Lower Austria.

Bisamberg was levied 1982 market town. With effect from 1 January 1970, the previously independent municipalities Small Engersdorf and Bisamberg were merged into one municipality.

Castle Bisamberg: The castle, built in Renaissance style in 1640 came into the possession of Abensperg and Traun family. In 1961 it was sold to a manufacturer. The castle is now privately owned.
