Bisceglie

Bisceglie is a town with 54 877 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Barletta- Andria- Trani, in Puglia. By the end of 2007, the town belonged to the province of Bari.

History

The town was founded in the 11th century by the Normans and was already at this time until the year 1800 the seat of a bishop (see list of bishops of Bisceglie )
