Bishop of Condom

The diocese of Condom ( Latin: Dioecesis Condomiensis ) was a location in France Roman Catholic diocese based in Condom.

History

The diocese of Condom was posted on August 13, 1317 by Pope John XXII. noster built with the Papal bull Salvator out of territory of the diocese of Agen. First bishop was Raimond de Galard.

On 29 November 1801, the diocese of Condom was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the Papal Bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was annexed to the diocese of Agen.

In 1763 the diocese of Condom comprised about 140 parishes. It was divided into two Archidiakonate: Condom and Nerac.
