Bislamach-Brigade

The Bislamach Brigade; officially 828th Brigade ( 772nd Brigade until the end of 2005 Bislamach ) is a major unit of the Israeli army: The name is an acronym for Bislamach School for Infantry Corps Professions and Squad Commanders; " Infantry School for professional groups and commanders " and refers to the Infantry School of the Army. The training provider, including military training area is located in the Negev, where the Bislamach Brigade is stationed. Here all aspects of infantry combat management are taught. The Bislamach Brigade is under the Parachute Infantry & Command.

History

During the Second Intifada, before the operation rainbow were parts of the Bislamach Brigade in the search for the remains of the soldiers of Jahalomeinheit ( a pioneer elite unit ) used on the Philadelphi passage into Gaza on the border with Egypt, the transport tank in the so-called disaster of insurgents had been killed on 12 November 2004. After the Operation Rainbow took troops of the brigade participated in the implementation of Israel's unilateral disengagement plan in the Gaza Strip.

Order

The Bislamach Brigade is responsible for training and practice operating the Infantry School of the Israeli army. It is the central institution of its kind for all Israeli units from other branches of the military branches of the armed forces. Example is also provided including soldiers of the Air Force and the Navy's infantry basic or advanced training, as required, such as the Special Forces Schajetet 13 and the Jechidat Schaldag.

Organization

The association is made up of three operational battalions, the 17th, 450th, and 906th and Support Battalion. Although actually a training unit, the brigade is fully combat- capable and can always be used in accordance with special situations or in case of war.
