Bisnode AB is a major European provider of digital business information. The company is based in Stockholm and has more than 90 subsidiaries in 19 European countries.

The portfolio of Bisnode group includes, among others, credit reports, information about businesses and consumers, as well as marketing tools and information for the general B2B market. In Germany Bisnode in 2013 its former subsidiary companies / brands Hoppenstedt ( corporate information, credit reports, journals ) and Dun & Bradstreet ( credit and risk information ) merged with the parent brand and occurs only under the brand Bisnode.

History

Bisnode's roots date back to the year 1895. Those days appeared the first Swedish Trading calendar and Bonnier started with the business model of economic and corporate information. Belonging to Bonnier companies AffärsData launched in 1982 with the publication of digital business information. The business model proved successful and was further expanded. As a newly formed subsidiary of Bonnier Bonnier Business Information started the expansion in the market of digital business information. In the first half of the nineties, the company expanded greatly, not least through several acquisitions. The specialization on economic intelligence was born with spin-off and renamed Bonnier Affärsinformationen (BAF ), 1999, invoice. In September 2005, the BAF and owned by Ratos Group promising companies InfoData merged. Since then, the Ratos Group holds 70 per cent and 30 per cent Bonnier. In March 2006, the Company changes its name to Bisnode. In May 2007, WDM Group is taken, in December 2008, the WLW group. End of August 2009 are Bisnode to sell its subsidiaries in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland to D & B UK known. In 2012, the Group sold in Germany, the WLW group, the ABC's of the German economy and the journal publisher Hoppenstedt Publishing.

Under CEO Lars Pettersson will start in 2012 an extensive program for the realignment of the Group. In all European countries Bisnode replaced its local brands with a consistent brand image, emphasizing its European orientation and the range of international services group.

Bisnode in Germany

In Germany, the portfolio includes the brands former D & B, and Hoppenstedt B -2-B products. With Bisnode Editorial Germany and Germany Bisnode Informatics subsidiaries for data collection, editing and IT services exist. The company has extensive data on more than 4.7 million German and 25 million European companies as well as on the D & B Worldwide Network to 200 million companies.

Financial Indicators

Bisnode Group achieved a turnover of Swedish crowns and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of 511 million Swedish crowns 3.9 billion in fiscal 2012. The company employs 3,000 people in 19 countries. In Germany, the company employs nearly 450 employees, a turnover of almost 80 million euros achieved in five locations (2012 ). The most important German site is Darmstadt, with offices in Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Freiburg and Munich.
