Bisterschied

Geography
The place is located in the north- Palatinate mountains west of Mount Thunder between Kaiserslautern and Bad Kreuznach.
History
Bisterschied was first documented in 1128. After the French Revolution, the town was incorporated into the French department Thunder Mountain. As a result of the Vienna Congress, he was from 1816 to 1945 Bavarian. After the Second World War Bisterschied was initially part of the French occupation zone and was then incorporated into the newly formed state of Rhineland -Palatinate.
