The Bistrita ( German Bistrita; Hungarian Beszterce ) is a right tributary of Sieu in Romania.

It rises in the Călimani Mountains, flows through the city of Bistrita and flows Sărăţel in the Sieu. The river has a length of about 70 km, a catchment area of 612 km ² (just before its confluence with the Sieu ) an average water flow of 7.28 m³ / s

In the upper reaches of the river Bistrita is dammed and forms the reservoir Colibita.
