BitNami

The BitNami Project provides for various open source projects pre-configured, easy to install application packages partly free to download. Bitnami provides some packets to a fee and are commercial user support.

Bitrock, a manufacturer of an open source installation program, sponsored Bitnami. Different Cloud computing providers form partnerships with Bitnami.

Stacks

Stacks offers Bitnami in three forms: Native Installer, Virtual Machine and Cloud Image

  • Bitnami Native Installers: To install on the local IT system.
  • BitNami Virtual Machines: to operate in a virtual machine.
  • BitNami Cloud Images: To " install " with a cloud provider. Currently, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud ( EC2 ) and Windows Azure are supported.
