Bitritto
Bitritto is a Southeast Italian municipality ( comune ) in the province of Bari, in Puglia. The municipality is situated approximately 10 km south-southwest of Bari on the edge of the Murgia.
History
Its name dates from the 11th century, from the Latin locus Bitrictum or vetrictum. Even today, two towers of the fortification.
