Bizunesh Deba

Bizunesh Deba (born 8 September 1987) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who specializes in road races.

In 2009, she finished seventh at the New York City Marathon and won the California International Marathon.

In 2010 she won the Naples Half Marathon, National Marathon to Fight Breast Cancer, the Healthy Kidney 10K and finished ninth at the New York Mini 10K. A win at the Grandma's Marathon was followed by another at the Twin Cities Marathon, where she improved her personal best by more than four minutes and won with eight minutes ahead. In 2011 she won the Los Angeles Marathon and the Rock ' n ' Roll Marathon in San Diego.

Bizunesh Deba lives with her ​​husband, the runner Worku Beyi colleagues, in New York City in the Bronx.
