Bjerke

Bjerke is a north-eastern district of the Norwegian capital Oslo. It has 26,229 inhabitants (2008 ), and a size of 7.7 km ². The district is mainly along the Trondheimsveien, by dividing the area of ​​Sinsenkrysset in the west to the east Rødvedt. Along this road lies inter alia, the Aker Hospital, the trotting Bjerkebanen and the slab of Linderud and Veitvet. In the south of the district are numerous shops, including the Østre Aker vei, with the transport node Økern in the southwest.
