Bjorn Krupp ( born March 6, 1991, Atlanta, Georgia ) is a German - American professional ice hockey player who plays on the position of the defender for the Cologne Sharks of the German Ice Hockey League since 2011. He is the son of former NHL pros and Germany's first Stanley Cup winner Uwe Krupp.
Krupp began his career at various youth teams in his homeland. In the season 2007/ 08 he worked for the U.S. Under-17 National Team, U.S. National Team Development Program active. From 2008 to 2011, he played three seasons for the Belleville Bulls in the Ontario Hockey League, one of the three major Canadian junior leagues.
During the season 2009 /10 of the links Sagittarius signed a rookie entry-level contract with the NHL Minnesota Wild club, but joined the 2011/12 season to DEL club Kölner Haie where he signed a three year contract. There he is re-trained by his father, who since 2011 is coach of the Sharks after his work as national coach.
