Bjugn is a commune on the Fosen peninsula in central Norway.

Administrative center of the municipality is Botngård; in addition, it includes the villages Lysøysund, Olden, Teksdal, Jøssund, Vallersund, Torrem, Oksvoll, Nes, Tarva, Klakken, Ervika, oaths, Høybakken, stallvik and Elveng.

Bjugn is the birthplace of jazz musician Nils- Olav Johansen. The local ice rink is the venue for the 2014 Junior World Championships in speed skating.

Economy

In November 2006, five wind turbines were on the peninsula Valsneset, north of Botngård, in Valsneset Vindpark built for the Trondheim utilities TrønderEnergi. Here is also Norway's first and only test field for wind turbines, on which the institution Viva AS a subsidiary of the Institute for Energy Technology in Kjeller runs a small experimental wind turbine and other equipment plans.
