Geography
Geographical Location
The city is located about two kilometers west of Częstochowa.

Areas of Blachownia are Stara Blachownia, Ostrowy, Trzepizury, Błaszczyki, Ottonów, Brzózka and Gać Malice.
History
In the 17th century there was a factory in the city. 1835 a foundry and rolling mill for sheet metal were built. 1903, the city was connected to the railway network. The first fire department in the village was founded in 1920. During World War II, the Wehrmacht invaded on September 3, 1939. The city was the seat of the district Blach Städt. 1950 iron mine was built. Nine years later, the place was recognized as an independent settlement and only in 1967 was the place the town charter. In 1975, the city under an administrative reform of the Częstochowa Voivodeship was, in a further reform, it was then in 1999 part of the Silesian province.

The urban and rural community Blachownia has an area of 67.21 km ² with about 13,000 inhabitants.

The city is located on the regional road 46 of Częstochowa after Kłodzko and the rail link from Częstochowa after Lubliniec.
