The Blue Buzzard ( Geranoaetus melanoleucus ), also Kordillerenadler or Aguja Blue Eagle, is widely used in South America. It inhabits open and semi-open landscapes of all kinds and populated mountainous regions at altitudes of 3000 meters. The females reach a length of 90 centimeters, male specimens remain significantly smaller with 70 centimeters. His prey are mainly small and medium-sized mammals, but also birds and insects. He built his eyrie high in trees or on cliffs.
