Black Hat Briefings

Black Hat and Black Hat Briefings is the trading name of conferences on information security.

Black Hat was founded in 1997, founded by Jeff Moss, organizer of the DEF CON to bring with the aim of IT security officers from companies and public administration in contact with the ground for hackers. At the conferences, the current state of knowledge are of the lecturers explained to new vulnerabilities, defense mechanisms and trends in the IT security industry. In addition to the conferences ( Black Hat Briefings ), the portfolio services such as code review and security investigations ( Black Hat Consulting) and safety training (Black Hat Training ).

In 2005, the company CMP Media Black Hat, Jeff Moss took over continues to act as organizers of the conferences. 2008 CMP Media was renamed United Business Media, the Black Hat conferences organized by the business TechWeb.

The Black Hat conferences are usually held in the cities of Singapore, Tokyo, Amsterdam and Las Vegas.
