Black Market Music is the third album of the band Placebo, released on 6 October 2000 at Hut Records (EMI).

After their successful Without You I'm Nothing Tour in October 1999 and a break of only five months, they began to work on a new album in March 2000. On July 17, the first single was released " button in Men", which already showed that the band had developed their style towards rockier sounds. In songs like " Blue American " and " Narcoleptic " but you will find to be the melancholy side of their music.

With the video for her second single " Slave to the Wage " they won in various online polls in the category "Best Video of the Year 2000 '. The tour for this album began on 4 August 2000 and lasted about a year. As on the previous album Without You I'm Nothing found after the last track even a bonus track.
