Black River (2001 film)

Black River ( Original: Black River ) is an American thriller from 2001, based on a story by Dean Koontz.

Action

The car of the science fiction author Bo Aikens is stolen in the small town of Black River. It happened more strange things, his credit card is blocked and he is receiving calls from a stranger who is apparently very familiar with him. When he decides to leave the village, he finds that this is not so easy.

In search of the reason he gets on the mayor, who to talk to the ghost of his dead brother thinks contact to a company that wanted to create an artificial intelligence. In the company he gets the information that the experiment had failed. Bo recognized, however, that the opposite is the case and this artificial intelligence is alive and wants to build a utopian city in Black River.

The film ends with a sculptor stops with a car breakdown in Black River and Bo hits him. He writes him a note on a napkin that has him a way out of the city and warns him to answer the phone. But the sculptor lifts the phone as of yet.
