Black Sea Naval Force

The Black Sea Naval Cooperation Task Group ( BLACKSEAFOR ) was founded in April 2001. Turkey was the initiator for this cooperation and saw for the first time in Bulgaria the first meeting before. Ensuring security in the Black Sea, rescue and recovery operations, but also humanitarian operations and the fight against terrorism are among their main tasks.

In August 2007, Turkey took on the Turkish naval base in Gölcük in Istanbul command of the Task Group on Russia. In April 2010, took over as part of this year's exercise Bulgaria in the chair.

To Blackseafor Group owns the Black Sea littoral states, Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine.
