Black Velvet is a blues-rock song written by Canadian musicians David Tyson and Christopher Ward. Alannah Myles picked him up for their first studio album, released in 1989 Alannah Myles. The song reached top positions in many countries in the charts.

History

In 1988, the song was recorded by Alannah Myles. The song was released as the second single from the studio album and first in the French-Canadian space a success.
