Blackhorse Road station

Blackhorse Road is a railway station in Walthamstow, London Borough of Waltham Forest. The transportation hub that also includes a London Underground station is served by trains of the Victoria Line and the railroad company London Overground. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 3 at the intersection of Black Horse Road / Blackhorse Lane and Forest Road / Ferry Lane. In 2011, 6.47 million passengers used the subway to the train station, added 0.445 million passengers by rail. The railway runs above ground, underground underground.

The station was opened on 19 July 1894 as part of the railway Gospel Oak - Barking. It was a joint project of the Midland Railway and the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway. The opening of the first section of the Victoria Line between Walthamstow Central and Highbury & Islington took place on 1 September 1968.
