Bladensburg is a town in Prince George's County in the U.S. state of Maryland with 7661 inhabitants ( 2000). It lies on the Anacostia River, a tributary of the Potomac River.

History

Bladensburg was established in the colonial era and was a thriving seaport until deposits in the Anacostia River restricting its navigability.
