Blake Oshiro

Blake K. Oshiro ( born January 16, 1970 in Honolulu, Hawaii) is an American politician. He was from January 2001 to December 2011 Member of the House of Representatives from Hawaii for the 33rd electoral district. He is a member of the Democratic Party and Majority leader was in the House of Representatives. He is currently deputy chief of staff of Neil Abercrombie, Governor of Hawaii.

Oshiro graduated in 1992 graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts. He then completed a law degree at the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he obtained the degree of Juris Doctor in 1996 with a special qualification in environmental law. He is a Staff Attorney (Associate Attorney ) in an office in Honolulu.

In the spring of 2010, Oshiro outed during a vote, with the introduction of the Registered Partnerships same-sex partners, it was decided in Hawaii, as homosexual.

In November 2011, Oshiro presented his resignation from the House of Representatives is known to be deputy chief of staff of Abercrombie.
