Blame It on the Rain is a song by Milli Vanilli in 1989, which was written by Diane Warren and produced by Frank Farian. The song was first released on the U.S. version of the debut album, All Or Nothing, in Europe it appeared as a remix on the album Girl You Know It 's True.

Diane Warren had the song originally written for The Jets, however, decided at the last minute, do not record it. Then she played it before Clive Davis of Arista Records, who was looking for new songs for Milli Vanilli. Diane Warren did not know Milli Vanilli and wanted her song is sung by Whitney Houston, but Davis decided to Milli Vanilli. His plan was to substitute for the U.S. version of the debut album All Or Nothing four pieces of European amended by newly recorded songs. In addition to a cover version of It's Your Thing by the Isley Brothers Frank Farian also took up Blame It on the Rain.
