Blastodacna georgiella

Blastodacna Georgian ella is a butterfly (moth ) from the family of the grass leaf miner ( Elachistidae ).

Features

The moths reach a wingspan of 11-12 millimeters. B. Georgian ella is very similar Blastodacna vinolentella, but differs by the gray frons. On the fore wings a little white spot surrounded inside the shed tufts.

The genital armature of the males is unknown.

In females, the antrum is wider and flatter than Blastodacna vinolentella. Another distinguishing feature is the granulation in the rear area of the corpus bursae and the adjacent part of the ductus bursae.

Dissemination

B. Georgian ella is located in the west of Transcaucasia and was found in Georgia.

Biology

The caterpillar food plant is unknown. Moths were found from early June until the second half of July.
