Blaze Busters is an American short film from 1950, in which Robert Youngson led both director and the production held.
Action
The film is composed of reports of newsreels about various fires. In the film spectacular shots are recorded by fire outbreaks, including those on the ships Morro Castle and Normandy. The Morro Castle was a luxury cruise ship, on the 1934, a fire broke out on the return trip of the vessel from Havana to New York, where the ship was completely destroyed and 137 people lost their lives. The 1942 erupted on the Normandie, a French passenger ship, when welding fire cost a human life. The photographs focus on fire fighting and the difficulty in obtaining the respective fire under control.
Production
The film, which is made up of old newsreels is, therefore, in black and white. On December 30, 1950, he was listed for the first time.
Awards
Robert Youngson in 1951 for an Oscar in the category "Best Short Film" ( 1 roll of film ) nominated, but had a disadvantage compared to Grandad of Races by Gordon Hollingshead.
