Bleed the Dream

Bleed the Dream is an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California.

Band History

Shortly after had moved to Los Angeles Keith Thompson and Brandon Thomas of Baltimore, joined the two together with Dave Aguilera and Scott Gottlieb and founded in the spring of 2003, Bleed the Dream. Initially, they spent most of their time to travel from a small appearance to the next. Their first EP Awake was released on 30 March 2004 at Noize Pollution, shortly after they founded their own label Maphia Records, where she another EP - published and produced by Gottlieb live DVD No Apologies - Asleep.

Appearances at the Warped Tour in 2003 and 2004 finally brought them notoriety and the attention of the organizer Kevin Lyman, who gave them to his new label Warcon Enterprises a record deal.

During a tour with Matchbook Romance in the spring of 2004, was diagnosed with leukemia Scott Gottlieb. The other appearances, including at the rock festival Taste of Chaos 2005, and the entire Warped Tour, have been completed with the help of a replacement drummer. Meanwhile, the band nevertheless also worked on recording their first album, for the Gottlieb despite numerous hospital stays drums grossed. Two weeks before the release of Built by Blood he died on 10 April 2005.

In a new drummer Tom Breyfogle was found, who went on tours through the U.S., Europe, Australia and Japan with Bleed the Dream, in which the band among other things, Hawthorne Heights, Story of the Year and Funeral for a Friend occurred.

In May 2006, singer Brandon Thomas left due to personal and creative differences the band a few months later with Mark Holmes found a replacement. With him the next album A Killer Inside, which was released in April 2007, was born.

On September 24, 2007 Keith Thompson was on the Myspace site of Bleed the Dream, the breakup of the band known. A few months later, on May 13, 2008 Dave Aguilera announced that he, Keith and Brandon were back together and were working on new material.
