Bléone
The River at La Javie
The Bléone is a river in France, which runs in the Provence- Alpes -Cote d' Azur in the Alpes -de -Haute -Provence. It originates in the French Maritime Alps, in the Massif des Trois Évêchés, in the municipality of Prads -Haute- Bléone. The Bléone drains generally in a south-westerly direction and joins after 68 kilometers at Château- Arnoux -Saint -Auban as a left tributary of the Durance. Just before its mouth a large part of the water is diverted into a channel of the Electricité de France for power generation.
