Blerim Destani

Blerim Destani ( born April 12, 1981 in Stolberg ) is a German actor and film producer with Albanian origin.

Life and work

Blerim Destani was born in Germany; his parents and the rest of his family are of Albanian descent. He grew up in Macedonia in Tetovo. At 14 he got his first role as a young actor in the Albanian TV film Atje ku nuk lind Dielli ( dt Where the sun does not rise ). He produced short documentaries and took acting classes in England.

Since 1998 lives and works Destani alternately in Germany and Macedonia. In 2004 he took over the lead role of " Beni " in the Kosovar television film directed by Metropolet Sunaj Raça and had another film role in 2005 Racas turned movie Kosova - Desperate Search. In addition Destani was active in the field of film direction and production; so he worked in 2004 as associate producer on the internationally successful Macedonian cinema film The Great Water with (directed by Ivo Trajkov ). The film was screened at many prestigious festivals and four awards at the Valencia Festival of Mediterranean Cinema ( best camera work, Best Director, Best Soundtrack and Golden Palm ).

He then continued his acting training and also took voice lessons. 2007 Destani played the main role in the film Time of the Comet and was also producer of the biggest Albanian film production, which had 2008 premiere. Since 2008 he plays with two international cinema productions in the comedy Separation City ( movie premiere 2010 ) and the action comedy At World 's End, in which he took a lead role.

Destani is the owner of Jean Company Kosovatex.
