Blexbolex

Blexbolex (real name Bernard Granger, born May 26, 1966 in Douai, France) is a French author and illustrator.

Life

Bernard Granger grew up in the Auvergne, his parents were both German teachers. As a child, he began to draw comics. Following his studies at the Art Academy of Angoulême, the École européenne supérieure de l'image, he worked as a printer and publisher of Éditions Cornélius in Paris. His first works printed and he moved himself Later he worked with Le Dernier Cri, a specialist on comic art and screen printing publishing from Marseille. Meanwhile Blexbolex has over forty books, including many graphic novels, written and designed, where he experimented for almost every project with new formats and styles. In 2001 he wrote his first children's book in collaboration with Jean -Luc Fromental. Blexbolex also illustrated for various newspapers and magazines including The New York Times or Le Monde. His works have been exhibited City among others in Paris, Berlin, Vienna, Zurich and New York. With The flight to Abecederia appeared first time in 2007 one of his works in German translation. Since 2008 Blexbolex lives as a freelance author and illustrator in Germany, where he first settled in Berlin, and later moved to Leipzig. In his native France Blexbolex among the most successful emerging illustrators.
