Blida Province
The Province Blida (Arabic ولاية البليدة, DMG Wilāyat al - Bulaida ) is a province ( wilaya ) in northern Algeria.
The province is located south-west of Algiers in the Atlas Mountains. With an area of 1102 km2 in area, it is one of the smallest provinces in the country.
With a population of around 802,000 people ( 2006 estimate ), still very densely populated, the population density is 729 inhabitants per square kilometer.
The provincial capital is Blida, the next largest city is Beni Merad ( Bani MARAD ).
