Bliss (band)

Bliss ( German: happiness, bliss) is an English rock and pop band from London. Bliss was founded in 1986 by Rachel Morrison ( vocals) and Paul Ralphes ( bass) founded in Coventry and later added, with others with today's London music producer Tom E Morrison as a guitarist. In 2007, the band released the best-of- album Spirit of Man. Your total catalog has been digitally re-released by EMI Music.

Band History

After the founding of the band in 1986 in Coventry were other band members Paul Sirett (guitar ), Chris Baker ( drums) and Roger Askew (keyboards, piano, Hammond organ ) added.

Between March and September 1988, the quintet recorded the debut album Love Prayer, which was eventually released by Parlophone / EMI. The album received good reviews in the UK (Q Magazine, Sounds, Time Out or Music Week ) and provided for chart success in Brazil, Italy and Germany. In Brazil, Bliss was named " Best International Act for 1989 " distinguished.

Two German musician, guitarist Tom E Morrison and drummer Michael Witzel (including Chris de Burgh ) came 1990 on the band. The second album A Change in the Weather, a production by Rupert Hine, was published. EMI soon finished it, working with the band.

This event initiated the decision of a new beginning. Paul Ralphes moved with his wife to Brazil and began a successful career as a music producer. Morrison and her partner Tom E Morrison decided to go to Germany and live there. In 1992, the couple married.

In addition, Rachel Morrison is also on the existing four CDs and 2008 on the label Union Square Music Ltd.. to hear published Sampler Simply Celtic Women with a total of 15 cover songs, including Songbird ( Fleetwood Mac ) or Orinoco Flow ( Enya ).
