Blonay Castle

Castle Blonay located in the homonymous municipality Blonay in the canton of Vaud.

The castle was built in 1175, built by William II of Blonay, Savoy ministerial Lien. The family lived there since that time - with a brief interruption in the 18th century - to the present day.

The oldest existing part is the huge square keep from the founding period, which increased in later years and a series of buildings arranged around a courtyard, was incorporated. The palace with an irregular quadrangular plant had formerly four corner towers, two of which are preserved today.
