History
The city was officially founded in 1835, its roots go but back to the year 1640. In the year of its foundation, the city had more than 900 inhabitants.
Parks
The Penwood State Park is a 3.2 km ² large park in the north of the city. The park was in 1944 by the industrialist Curtis Hussey Veeder ( 1862-1943 ) the city made the gift. The Lake Louise in the park was named after his wife.
