Blowout (geology)

As deflation trough a depression in the landscape is referred to, which was created by a regular wind ( deflation). Previously it was assumed that the Dumber and Steinhude were created from the ice during the Ice Age by the constant winds. The stripped material is sedimented as loess or even as a dune.
