Bloye

Bloye is a commune in the French department of Haute- Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region.

Geography

Bloye is located on 375 m above sea level. M., near Rumilly, about 16 km west- southwest of the town of Annecy (air line). This former farm extends in the western Albanais, in the foothills of the Alps, in the broad valley which connects the basins of Rumilly with the Lac du Bourget.

The area of ​​4.40 square kilometers municipal area comprises a portion of Albanais. The main part of the territory occupied by the approximately two -mile-wide valley floor, which continues from Rumilly south to the area of Aix -les- Bains. Attractions

The church of Saint -Maurice was built in 1850. It has Carrara marble altars and a pulpit made ​​of walnut wood. Also worth mentioning are the further the Château de Conzier and the Château de Salagine, which was rebuilt at the beginning of the 19th century.

Population

With 553 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) Bloye one of the small towns in the Haute-Savoie region.
