Blue Effect (band)

Blue Effect is a 1968 ( originally under the name Blue Special Effect), founded in Czech band. After the 1970s, the communist regime in Czechoslovakia led several bands, store names in English and adopt Czech, the group was temporarily Modrý efekt (Translation of Blue Effect ), M. efect or even Modrý & Radim Hladik efect.

History and style

Blue Effect was formed in 1968 when the Prague music scene experienced one of their highlights. End of September, the musicians decided Mišík, Kozel and Čech, to form a new band; Radim Hladik, which was called at the time as the best guitarist in Prague, left the then leading group Matadors and joined the group. Already on December 22 Blue Effect has occurred with the second Czechoslovak Beat Festival in Lucerna hall and reached a great success: it was the discovery of the Year, Hladik Musician of the season and their song Slunečný Hrob the hit of the season.

Plays Today after several line-up changes still a founding member, Radim Hladik, in the band. The band takes a unclassifiable style, which is based on a Blue base, but mainly lives on the guitar interpretations Radim Hladik and jazz influences. In general, her style is described as progressive rock or fusion.

In the 1970s, the group was successful throughout Europe (concerts in Poland, East Germany, Hungary, Romania, etc.). Although the band finished their performances in 1990, the demand for concerts and after re-recording new title she moved to continue playing. For the first months of 2010, over 30 concerts were planned.

In 2003, the play " Má Hra " from 1971 by the French Hip-Hop/House-Projekt One-T for the singles " The Magic Key " and " Music Is The One-T ODC " was used as the sample source.
