Band History

2001-2005

2001 Duncan " Dunc " Matthew James Inglis and Anthony "Ant " Daniel Costa learned at the British talent show know and decided to try and form a band Pop Idol. They teamed up with Lee Ryan and Simon " Sy " Solomon Webbe together to form a quartet.

With the first song All Rise, the band reached in May 2001, went straight to number four on the UK Singles Charts. The video for the single was shot on 29 March 2001. The first television appearance was Blue on 16 April 2001 in Big Breakfast show, her first live appearance on 28 April 2001 the station SMTV. Already with the next single, a cover version of Next 's classic Too Close, succeeded the quartet, the first number -one hit of her career. Another followed with the outcoupling If You Come Back in November 2001.

In 2002, she landed after the other songs Fly By and One Love with Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word their biggest hit. The title is a cover of the song by Elton John, who sang Blue by itself in the new edition. Several weeks remained the title in the top ten in the UK and reached number one.

In 2003, the decoupling Guilty. In 2004, she played with Stevie Wonder and Angie Stone the old Wonder hit Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours one. Solo projects and Start-up

From 2005 to 2009 Blue took a break in order to take care of solo projects.

Lee Ryan Army of Lovers was with his solo debut. In October 2005, the first solo album was also released in Germany after it had already been available in the UK since August. Turn Your Car Around in Germany reached number 41 and number 20 in the U.S.

Simon Webbe also pursued solo career: After his first single Lay Your Hands, he released the album Sanctuary. His second album Grace is available in Germany.

Antony Costa has also pursued a solo career. He has published in February 2006, his first single Do You Ever Think of Me

Duncan James brought in December 2004 - to the days of Blue - his first publication with the singer Keedie out: I Believe My Heart for the musical The Woman in White. His first single for his solo album is called Sooner or Later, which was released on June 2, 2006. On 30 June 2006, he released his album Future Past. In August of the same year Duncan Can not Stop a River published. Since January 2008 he is the second time in the West End as a lawyer Billy Flynn in the musical Chicago on stage.

In April 2009, the band officially confirmed their reunion. In May 2011, she represented her native country at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2011 in Dusseldorf, entitled I Can and occupied there with 100 points in eleventh place. The band controls Hurt Lovers in 2012 as the theme song to the movie Final makers.
