Blue Flyer

Entrance and station as Zipper Dipper

Blue Flyer, by 2010 Zipper Dipper, in the Pleasure Beach, Blackpool ( Blackpool, Lancashire, UK) is a wooden roller coaster, which was opened in 1934 under the name Little Dipper.

The 335 m long railway is considered family coaster and was admitted to the American roller coaster enthusiasts in the category of ACE Coaster Classics. She was the first attraction in Childrens' Park, which was expanded to Beaver Creek Theme Park children's section later. With transformation of the region to Nickelodeon land for the season 2011, the railway was renamed and redesigned. It was built a new station building and the once-white wood construction painted blue.

It is not quite clear who was the designer of the web, most likely Charles Paige, who is also the neighboring wooden roller coaster Roller Coaster (now Nickelodeon Streak ), which opened a year earlier, had designed. At the time worked but also Harry G. Traver in Blackpool, which is why he also comes as a designer in question.

The route is a simple out-and -back layout with a few hills, which is taken after the six -meter-high chain lift with a maximum of 40 km / h.

Blue Flyer has the manufacturer's Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters a train with five cars. In each car four people can (two rows of two people) take place.

It was originally a Blue Flyer train with three cars, also of Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters. Each car had four rows of seats.
