The Blue Mountain Peak with 2256 m the highest mountain in Jamaica. It belongs to the approximately 50 km long mountain range of the Blue Mountains, which are named after the blue haze veils that adorn their peaks in the morning hours. It lies in the east of the island, near the capital, Kingston. Around the Blue Mountain Peak, the Blue Mountains - John Crow National Park stretches. The mountain region is famous for its coffee, which thrives particularly well because of the cooler, rainy climates.
