The Blue Water Arena is a football stadium in Esbjerg, Denmark with 18,000 courts ( 11,451 seats). It is the home of the football club Esbjerg fB and is part of the Sport & Event Park Esbjerg.

History

Opened in 1955 the stadium was the venue for the 1999 European Youth Olympic Festival. For this occasion, the stadium was renovated for the first time. In 2004, a new main stand was built with seats in the venue. From March 2008 to August 2009 was the complete reconstruction of the sports facility. All stands are double-level and are covered up to a few places. There were installed 5,500 tons of concrete and 640 tons of steel in the stadium. The glass facade has an area of ​​3,760 square meters. The two large video screens each have 43 square feet of space and weigh 4800 kg.
