Bluebird Records
Bluebird Records is an American record label, a subsidiary ( sub-label ) by RCA Victor. Blue Bird was founded in 1932 to the American Record Corporation ( ARC) in the low-price segment ("3 records for a dollar " ) to compete. The first records appeared in July 1932. Bluebird was especially active during the 1930s and early 1940s in jazz, blues and Old-Time-/Country- area. In addition, recordings of RCA were reissued.
Later Bluebird jazz recordings and reissues were marketed under the name of, in the 1950s, also records for children. Finally Bluebird was revived by RCA Victor as a jazz label.
