Blumenhagen is a municipality in the district of Vorpommern - Greifswald Jatznick in the east of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ( Germany ).

Geography

Blumenhagen lies on the southern slope of a terminal moraine between the cities of Strasburg (Uckermark) and Pasewalk, right on the border to Brandenburg. 1.5 km north-west of Blumenhagen is the 0.1 -acre water publican break.

History

The old estate village Blumenhagen IV was around 1375 in the Land Book of Charles the first time mentioned.

On July 25, 1952 Blumenhagen was removed together with other municipalities from the Brandenburg until 1945 the Prussian district Prenzlau and assigned to the circle Pasewalk in the district of Neubrandenburg.

On 1 January 2012, the formerly independent villages Blumenhagen and Klein Luckow were incorporated to Jatznick.

Transport links

Two kilometers south of Blumenhagen passes the Baltic Sea motorway ( A 20), the nearest connection point Pasewalk -east. Through the town also carries the railway line Neubrandenburg Pasewalk.
