Blumenthal, Schleswig-Holstein

Blumenthal is a municipality on the river Eider in Rendsburg- Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Blumenthal lies about 15 km southwest of Kiel on the Autobahn 215 The original single connection point of this highway connects the keel with the Federal Highway 7, bears the name of the place.

History

The place that has arisen as a street village and has developed into a pile village since the 19th century, was first documented in 1304.
