Blythe Hartley

Blythe Hartley ( born May 2, 1982 in Edmonton, Alberta ) is a Canadian water jumper. It starts in both the art of jumping from the 1- m and 3- m- board and at the 10 -meter platform diving and the synchronized diving.

Hartley is successful in World Swimming Championships in particular from 1 m board. 2001 in Fukuoka and 2005 in Montreal, she won the gold medal, silver in 2007 in Melbourne and 2003 in Barcelona bronze.

At Olympic Games Hartley took part for the first time in 2000 in Sydney. Her best they reached in the synchronized diving 3 -meter board, where she finished fifth with her partner Eryn Bulmer. In the individual competition of the 3 -meter board at the end she finished tenth. Four years later at the Olympic Games in Athens, won her first Olympic medal Hartley. In synchronized diving from the 10 m tower, she won along with Émilie Heymans Bronze.

Hartley won between 1999 and 2003 also five medals at the Pan American Games and 2002 and a medal at the Commonwealth Games.

Hartley was elected to Canada for junior athlete of the year 1999. In 2001, she chose the Canadian diver - Dressing for jumper of the year. Currently, Hartley studied at the University of Southern California.
