BM Granollers

The Club Balonmano Granollers is a handball club from the Spanish city of Granollers. It was founded in 1944 and plays in the league ASOBAL, the top division of the Spanish men's handball. The home ground of the association, who competes at home games in white and blue and at away games in red and white kits, is the arena Palau D' Esports de Granollers, with a capacity of around 6500 seats.

Achievements

With ten national championship titles (1959, 1960, 1961, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1974 ) of the BM Granollers is the second most successful club at national level behind the Spanish giants FC Barcelona. In addition, the club three times (1958, 1970 and 1974 ) won the Spanish Cup Copa del Rey de Balonmano and once ( 1994), the Copa ASOBAL.

In European club competitions in the BM Granollers won once ( 1976) in the European Cup Winners' Cup and twice (1995 and 1996) in the EHF Cup. In 1996, moreover, the team reached the final of the EHF Champions Trophy, but was defeated by FC Barcelona.
